Testimonials

Over the past few years, partnering with SEEDS Therapy has been truly a blessing to our students, families, and community. Before the introduction to SEEDS many of our students who needed social or mental health typically would be sourced outside the school accommodations into local therapists and counselors, who often charged more than what our families could afford. SEEDS Therapy has offered our students both individual and group sessions as well as informational Parent Education Nights regarding child anxiety and mental health. SEEDS has been a great addition to our school’s programs and parents agree it has helped many of our students with post-pandemic social and emotional health. We are so thankful for this partnership with SEEDS and all they provide for our community.

Partnering with SEEDS Christian Counseling has been one of the best decisions we’ve made when it comes to ensuring the health and safety of our students and supporting our families. Before SEEDS, we truly struggled to meet our students’ needs in the area of mental, social, and emotional health. We had to refer families to outside services where families faced many barriers, such as insurance companies, waitlists, and high costs. There is no doubt that mental, social, and emotional health support for children in this post-covid era is essential at every school site. With SEEDS, our students who would otherwise not be getting the counseling services, social-emotional development, and crisis intervention they need have these services on campus during their school day at an affordable cost; and because our families trust the school, they are much more likely to follow through with getting services through SEEDS. The best part is that SEEDS approaches their work from a Christian perspective. The therapists we work with are qualified, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. They’re part of our family now! We could not be happier with our partnership, and cannot imagine our school without SEEDS!

During the last 5-10 years I have seen more and more students struggle with anxiety, depression, and social situations. Social media, video gaming, and isolation have created a generation of young people that don’t know how to navigate social situations and positive communication. They struggle with self-confidence and identifying their emotions. We need to give our children the tools needed to develop positive social relationships, solve conflicts and communicate effectively and positively.

We want our students to know their self-worth and how amazing and special they are as God’s children. SEEDS offers an answer to helping our children develop these very skills. They learn how to start and maintain healthy friendships; grow in self-confidence and emotional awareness, and deal with conflicts.

I feel very blessed to have SEEDS at our school and support our students. God has great plans for our young people and SEEDS is a great way to help them reach those plans.

Sadly, over the years we have seen an increase in children struggling socially and mentally. The student’s needs often go beyond what the classroom teacher or school staff can offer, and counseling is the recommendation. To be able to make that recommendation AND have it available on campus for families to utilize quickly and conveniently is such a huge blessing. Having SEEDS counselors on campus for regular appointments and for more acute situations that arise throughout the year is invaluable. Knowing our students are getting the additional support they need from Christian therapists is such a comfort. In addition to individual sessions, the SEEDS therapists have also led several social-emotional-themed units in some of our older grades. Having common tools and language to work through conflict together has led to much growth this year among our students. We are so thankful to have SEEDS on our campus!

I am so thankful that SEEDS has seen a need for our children and has closed that gap. Mental health for our kids has become so difficult for us as parents to navigate and it’s so great that through SEEDS we now have some help. From relationships to coping mechanisms, they teach our kids fundamentals that are so critical for their overall mental and emotional health. Thanks for providing such an invaluable service to our most valuable entity, our children.

One of my students has been in SEEDS for nearly the entire school year. I have seen an improvement in her confidence and in the way she presents herself. She will now look me in the eye when speaking with me and be confident when asking a question or responding to an answer.

SEEDS also came into my classroom and did four sessions on topics relating to junior high/high school. The students were very receptive to what they had to say and actively participated.

My son entered the school three years ago as an international student without any foundation in the English language. Our family experienced many challenges with language, culture, and the pandemic in a brand-new environment. As a result, the relationships in our family were strained. We began to notice academic, emotional control, and social problems being exposed in the children. Thankfully, the school gave us much help, respect, and guidance in these areas, and my son was able to join the SEEDS group training. I would like to thank Mrs. Rebecca for providing our son with comfort, patience, and an interesting classroom environment that made a huge difference in his attitude and demeanor. He began to build up his sense of security and express more gratitude.  In the process, Mrs. Rebecca has also given us a lot of encouragement and help and also helped us to adjust our ideas and attitudes as parents.
